| One of the first pieces of motorized fire apparatus purchased by the Guardian Hose Company was a 1927 Mack. This particular pumper was chain-driven. This piece is now in the Fire Museum of Maryland in Lutherville. Another photograph of this piece of apparatus appears on this page.
Below is a copy of the invoice for the 1927 Mack pumper. Note the price paid in 1928 -- $7,500.00
