Libertytown Volunteer Fire Company Tanker 17 dumps a load of water in a portable tank. Libertytown VFC Tanker 17 drops its load of water. Tanker shuttle operations were put in effect due to drought-like conditions and to help conserve water in the municipal water supply.
Superintendent of Public Works for the Town of Thurmont, Joe Fraley, and Water Superintendent Gary Dingle were on scene.
Guardian Hose Engine Tanker 104 drafted water from the portable tank to supply several attack engines. Guardian Hose Company Engine Tanker 104 "drafts" water from the portable tank to supply several attack pumpers.
Walkersville VFC Quint 11 was called to the scene of the Co-Op fire to assist. Walkersville VFC Quint 11 was called to the scene to assist as was an aerial piece from Taneytown in Carroll County.
Large diameter hose was employed in the fire suppression effort. Large diameter hose ("LDH") was employed in the fire suppression efforts.
