Like most fire companies, Guardian Hose Company likes to participate in parades in surrounding communities. Doing so allows us the opportunity to proudly display our apparatus and works to foster greater pride among our members. In addition, we host a large parade annually during our Carnival. For many years, we have participated in the parade of our neighboring Rocky Ridge Volunteer Fire Company. Following pages contain pictures from that parade. Photographs from some past parades in the 1940's and 1950's appear on the following pages as well. Where information concerning the photograph was documented, e.g., when and where taken and by whom, that information is included. The selected photographs only portray Guardian Hose's participation in a few parades; we are confident that GHC attended and participated in many more parades than we can locate. |
