Photos taken on Sunday March 3, 2002 at a Training Exercise on Old Mill Road
A crew of firefighters stages outside the house preparing
to enter.
Note the pallets used as fuel and the yellow Large Diameter Hose
(LDH) in the foreground.
Water supply at this rural location was a challenge. Host company
Rocky Ridge Volunteer Fire Company deployed close to a mile of LDH in a relay-pumping
operation. New Midway's tanker was in the water supply loop as well.
Another view of the next crew prepared to
enter the house.
The smoke was rolling that day! On the day of
the exercise, the sky was overcast.
One crew exits the house as the next crew
stands by.
Guardian Hose Engine / Tanker 104 received the
water from Rocky Ridge Engine 133 (which was drafting water from a
creek) and from New Midway Engine Tanker 94 (relay pumper). ET104 then
supplied water to another Rocky Ridge engine as well as Vigilant Hose
Engine Tanker 64.
