2012 Carnival

The 2012 Guardian Hose Company Carnival is fast approaching! Looking for value-priced, family oriented entertainment in a local setting? Bring the kids, come out, and have some fun at our annual fun-filled Carnival! We offer a wide variety of delicious food offerings along with a host of entertainment options, and have live music daily. Our annual Firemen's Parade is always a crowd pleaser. While relaxing and enjoying yourselves at the Carnival, you'll be supporting the local, all volunteer fire company in the process. We sincerely thank you for your continued support and "See you at the Carnival!"

WHEN: Monday, July 9, 2012 through Saturday, July 14, 2012

LOCATION: The Carnival is held on the fire company's Carnival Grounds on East Main Street in Thurmont, Maryland (opposite Memorial Park). map

RIDES / MIDWAY: The Carnival's spectacular midway and rides are provided by Penn Wood Amusements of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. This year, we are again offering "pay one price" wristbands EVERY night!

Rides Special
Advance sale tickets for wristbands, $13.00 per ticket (save $7.00 per wristband), Tickets available every Saturday and Sunday, starting June 2, at the Fire Hall, 21 N Church Street, Thurmont. HOURS - Saturday - 9:00 AM - 12 Noon  Sunday 2:00 PM - 4 PM. Wristband advance sale tickets will also be available at the Carnival Grounds on Saturday, July 7, 2012 and Sunday, July 8, 2012.

Each ticket can be redeemed at the Carnival for one (1) wristband. The wristband is valid for one night only, can be used any night of the Carnival, and grants you unlimited rides for that evening. No refunds under any circumstances.

Wristbands purchased on the Carnival Grounds during the Carnival will cost $20.00 each. Buy your wristband tickets before the Carnival and save $7.00 per wristband!

Pre-sale wristband tickets are now available for purchase at the Thurmont branches of Bank of America, PNC Bank, and Woodsboro Bank.

RAFFLE: We are giving away a 2012 Tomos "Nitro 50" scooter, a Weber Genesis (Special Edition) BBQ Grille with Weber Grill accessories, and an Apple iPad 3 with16Gb & WiFi, and $1,000 in cash prizes! All prizes will be awarded on Saturday, July 14, 2012. [more info]

FOOD: A wide variety of  palate pleasing food offerings is available nightly from Italian Sausage sandwiches, cheese steaks, pizza to ice cold beverages to quench your thirst. Nightly dinner platter specials are offered, and we have a huge covered eating area so you can sit down, relax, and enjoy your food.

Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times. No alcohol. No pets. No coolers. No profanity.
No skateboards / bicycles / scooters on the Carnival Grounds.
